Quick answer

Fated Adventurer is a Fated-class All weapons Adventurer. The only Adventurer who can use everything. The best starting point is a weapon built around the role, with a Arkaya alongside.

Who they are

Fated Adventurer overview

The Fated Adventurer is your custom character and the only hunter who can use every weapon type. Named Adventurers bring unique kits, but the Fated Adventurer is the one character guaranteed to remain flexible as the weapon roster grows.

The developers have repeatedly said the Fated Adventurer will remain relevant alongside recruited characters. Mechanically, that means focusing your first upgrades on a main weapon and one backup, then using the character's flexibility to fill whatever role your squad needs.

Kit breakdown

Fated Adventurer abilities & playstyle

All weapons

Switch freely between Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Heavy Bowgun, Bow and the launch-era Charge Blade. Crafting one strong weapon per role gives you the widest matchup coverage.

Custom appearance

The character creator is part of the identity. Build a look you will still enjoy after dozens of hunts; cosmetic choices do not change stats.

Long-term relevance

Because the Fated Adventurer is not tied to one weapon kit, future weapon additions are less likely to leave the character behind. This is the safest long-term investment.

In the field

How to play Fated Adventurer

Main weapon

Pick one weapon to learn deeply. The Fated Adventurer's flexibility is only valuable if at least one weapon is actually upgraded.

Backup role

Add a second weapon that covers your main's weak matchup: a ranged option for flying monsters or a shield for aggressive charges.

Team fill

In co-op, bring the weapon your squad lacks. A flexible hunter with an elemental backup is more valuable than a fifth copy of the same DPS pick.

Squad planning

Best team role & partners

Fated Adventurer's primary value is flexible core —dps, support or anchor depending on equipped weapon. Pair them with Adventurers who cover the opposite job: a Support if they are an Assault, or a burst damage dealer if they are holding the monster in place.

Quick answers

Fated Adventurer FAQ

Is the Fated Adventurer weaker than SSR characters?
The Fated Adventurer does not have a unique Adventurer kit, but the ability to use every weapon and remain free makes the character valuable. Weapon upgrades and player skill matter more than rarity alone.
Can the Fated Adventurer use every weapon?
Yes. The Fated Adventurer can use all available weapon types, including future additions. Named Adventurers are usually tied to one weapon.
What weapon should I start with?
Long Sword and Bow are the easiest all-round starting picks. Lance is the safest for learning difficult monsters. Choose the one whose rhythm you enjoy, then build one elemental backup.
