Rhodes is an Assault-class Hammer Adventurer. Build momentum. Break the head. The best starting point is a Hammer built around the role, with Arkaya alongside.
Who they are
Rhodes overview
Rhodes fills a gap no other launch Adventurer covers: Ice damage. His Hammer kit turns different charged attacks into energy, then converts that stored energy into a heavy explosion. The loop is deliberate rather than tap-heavy, and the payoff is one of the largest single hits available to an Assault character.
What makes him unusual is mobility. His Skating Charge lets a Hammer user close distance and reposition far faster than the weapon's reputation suggests. That does not make the kit simple. Rhodes still wants the head, still needs clean charge timing and still loses value when the monster refuses to sit still.

Kit breakdown
Rhodes abilities & playstyle
Charged energy cycle
Different charged attacks build and convert energy. Treat the charge levels as separate tools rather than one long wind-up, and bank a full cycle before committing to the explosion.
Energy explosion
Certain moves consume stored energy for a powerful burst. The best window is a topple or a head stagger; spending it while the monster is mid-charge wastes the setup.
Skating Charge
His signature movement tool gives Rhodes unusual reach for a Hammer. Use it to stay on the head after a roll or to cross a short gap without sheathing.
In the field
How to play Rhodes
Positioning
Live on the monster's left shoulder and rotate toward the head as it turns. Rhodes has the mobility to recover from a bad angle, but not enough to ignore one.
Strengths
The only Ice option in the launch roster, strong blunt part damage and above-average Hammer mobility. He is a natural answer to Ice-weak monsters.
Weaknesses
The damage route has several steps, and every one of them wants the head. Missing the head or dropping the charge chain turns a high-ceiling kit into ordinary Hammer damage.
Squad planning
Best team role & partners
Rhodes's primary value is ice part-breaker, head pressure and stun support. Pair them with Adventurers who cover the opposite job: a Support if they are an Assault, or a burst damage dealer if they are holding the monster in place.

Weapon pairing
Best weapons for Rhodes
Start with the Hammer guide. Pick the Hammer if you want the satisfaction of cracking a monster's best material and creating stuns for your squad. It is a medium-difficulty weapon with a clear, readable purpose.
- Ice Hammer tree
- Raw high-damage Hammer
- Blast Hammer tree
Weapon rule
Rhodes is built around the Hammer. Swapping trees changes the element and raw profile, but it will not change the Adventurer's core kit.
